A camera you pass around

I also love passing it around with my friends and seeing what everyone captured afterward. It's become a little game we play.

Falling back in love with taking photos

It's great to have a camera again that you just focus on the pictures you are going to take instead of making sure each one is perfect.

Good to know before you buy

A few honest notes that come up in reviews, so you know what to expect.

  • The viewfinder frames a little differently than the photo. Several customers mention stepping a bit closer than the viewfinder suggests. You get used to it after a few shots.
  • Hold still after you press the shutter. You'll hear two quick beeps, then a click. The click means the photo is saved.
  • It shoots the light that's there. There's no built-in flash, so night photos keep the mood of neon, candlelight, and stage lights instead of flattening it. Expect a bit of grain after dark, like film. In very dark spots, the optional screw-on Ring of Light adds soft, even light.
  • The date stamp is optional. Shooting and getting your photos never need a phone. If you want the date and time on your files, a small desktop tool sets it once.
  • Charge before you go. Charging the AAA rechargeable batteries fully in the camera for 2 to 3 hours keeps every shot smooth. A fresh set gives around 300 to 500 shots.

I took it with me everywhere we went as a family. I loved the photos it captured and my kids loved it too - so much so that they started taking it with them when they went to the boardwalk with their friends to take photos. We captured so many cool memories this year. They loved the orange and teal filter card too.
