By stripping away the screen, we created a discipline of refusal — so the camera never pulls you out of the moment you’re trying to keep.

2013
The Question That Started It All
What if photography didn’t need to be faster or smarter?
Paper Shoot began in Taiwan with a simple mission: to make photography intentional again.
Our original camera defined the core experience—screen-free, repairable, and deeply personal.
It wasn’t designed to compete on specs, but to feel right from the very first click.
2014
Timeless Design, Evolving Soul
Your camera shouldn’t have an expiration date.
As the system matured, we introduced modular thinking.
External effect lenses were added to expand creativity—without asking you to replace the camera itself.
Power and stability were refined internally, while the soul of the device stayed the same.
You didn’t have to relearn anything—or give up the camera you already loved.
2018 -2019
New Possibilities, Same Philosophy
As technology evolved, new internal possibilities emerged.
Rechargeable power was introduced, along with expanded recording options like time-lapse and short video.
These additions didn’t redefine the camera.
They extended what was already there — and the way it felt to use stayed familiar.
During this period, Paper Shoot received international design recognition, including the A’ Design Award (Silver, Italy) and the German Design Award — acknowledging a product that chose restraint over complexity.
2020-2021
Chosen, Not Chased
As the world began craving slower, more meaningful tools, Paper Shoot resonated naturally across communities.
From being named one of TIME Magazine’s 100 Best Inventions to appearing widely across social platforms, the attention wasn’t driven by trends or tactics.
The story wasn’t about pixels or specs—
it was about the feeling of shooting without distractions.
2024
Timeless Design in a Digital Age
Recognized by Forbes for its clarity and focus, the Paper Shoot system reached a point of maturity.
New creative tools—designed to expand how the camera is used, not how it behaves—were introduced, such as the Ring of Light, lens covers, variable-speed recording handles, Photo Booth feature cards, and double exposure cards.
Each addition extended the experience without complicating it.
