Why is the Paper Shoot camera more expensive?
Paper Shoot’s exclusive technology is dedicated to recreating the nostalgic charm of film photography, capturing the beauty in each shot.
We’ve made a conscious decision to craft our cameras using eco-friendly, biodegradable, and recycled materials — because we believe in making a difference for the planet. While this choice raises production costs, we stand firm in doing what’s right.

Why wouldn’t I just use my phone?
Using your phone to take photos is a personal choice - if you’re happy with your phone, go for it! Our customers love Paper Shoot because it gives them the opportunity to unplug. It allows us to take a much-needed break from our screens while still having the ability to capture memories and live in the moment. The Paper Shoot is not an alternative to phones in any capacity - they are only alternatives for film and disposables.

Why wouldn’t I use a film or disposable camera?
Using a disposable or film camera instead of the Paper Shoot is a personal choice. There is no right or wrong answer - the camera market has something for everyone. What draws people to Paper Shoot over disposables particularly is their added features of additional filters, video and timelapse, their sustainability and reusability, and the cost - the Paper Shoot is a one-time, completely reusable purchase that allows you to take unlimited photos with no developing or printing needed. Disposables, on the other hand, average between $15-$20 a camera, plus $15-$20 developing for only 27 photos! You’d only need to go through 3-4 disposable cameras to make up for the price of one Paper Shoot, which you’ll have for years and can take as many photos as you want!

Why wouldn’t I use a DSLR?
Whatever type of camera works for you is the best choice! There are different varieties and choices for different types of people, and there is no wrong answer. The Paper Shoot is not meant to emulate DSLRs - we are not trying to mimic the quality, experience, and technology. If you’re looking for a higher-tech camera, then go for it! There are tons of great cameras on the market that will work perfectly for you. The Paper Shoot is purposefully simplistic and minimal, digitally emulating 35mm film.

All of our cameras pass the CE & FCC safety certifications. Our cameras are built to adhere to all battery safety standards and are programmed to shut down if provided too much power. When the batteries are being charged within our camera while using our charging cable the cameras have a safety measure that stops the charging cycle when fully charged. If choosing to remove the batteries to charge them outside of the camera, always ensure you are charging them with a device that automatically stops the charge current once charging is complete.
** Batteries purchased on our website are not manufactured by Paper Shoot - For additional information about batteries , please contact the manufacturer at https://ept-battery.com/ **
